When awkward is no longer awkward...Lockett returns...and sticks around
Tonight at Red Lobster, Bill Lockett showed up at the West Knox Republican Club Monthly Meeting. He came in about 2 minutes before the meeting started...Truth said, a awkward hush-chatter emerged.
Quickly, under the table text messages started occurring. But City Council woman Barbara Pelot got up as guest speaker and gave an informative presentation. So good in fact that within 5 minutes people actually forgot Lockett was in the room and were more focused on her.
In the question-answer period Mrs. Pelot promised to address my passion project. Right now the Knoxville Ice Bears hold recession buster nights on certain week night games. They charge $2.00 for soda,beer,hotdogs, and popcorn. Yet it still costs $5.00 to park in city-county garage! My idea on $2.00 night...charge $2.00 for parking!!!
So, after the meeting Lockett stayed and talked with those that stuck around. In fact he and I were the last to leave Red Lobster. I feel that Bill Lockett stayed cause quite frankly he has nothing to hide. He answered a ton of questions. To address it straight off, yes he *gingerly but candidly* discussed his current situation. He then chatted with those remaining in attendance about everything from the low voter turnout in Knoxville...to the odds that Bill Gibbons has on becoming our next Governor. It is an interesting and great night to say the least.
