Why I am backing Tim Burchett and why he is the best candidate for Mayor.

On Monday, the West Knox Republican Club had their picnic/bake sale. Afterwards, the older members in their 60's and 70's started putting tables and chairs away.

Only two ...TWO POLITICIANS DECIDED TO HELP! DR BRIGGS AND TIM BURCHETT!!!

The rest saw what was happening and either continued talking or left. Hence leaving heavy work to Seniors. Immediately, I decided to help and while carrying the tables, I saw politician after politician ignoring DELIBERATELY what had to be done!

Seeing Tim hustling and working hard to get the chairs and tables up I reached a conclusion on the spot. I am backing Tim 100%

Here is why. Our County unofficially runs on the motto 'ignore the problem, screw the next guy.'

Think about it. We are $600,000,000.00 in debt. Nothing is getting done. J J Jones comes to every meeting saying how we immediately need jail space.
So they have focus groups and committees and subcommittees and nothing happens.

Ignore the problem and Screw the next guy. The only time you see County members actually hustling is when the TV camera comes on!Many times the commission members will say more to the camera then they said all meeting!

Burchett's actions after the meeting show a true indication of who this man really is. With no cameras, no hype, and no grandstanding, Tim saw a problem, addressed the problem, and ddin't wait to do something. He got the job done.

We need that energy. We need that passion. We need that common sense.
I waited almost a week to make this endorsement public because I wanted to make sure my decision wasn't 'a heat of moment blog.' I have thought about this all week. The more I thought about it, the more passionate and resolute I became in my decision.
