Bill Gibbons meets with Knox Young Republicans in Bearden

It was great. Gibbons answered every question srtaight open honestly and candidly! In the parking lot after the meeting fellow Young Republicans stuck around and after chatting it over decided they were backing him. Let me make it straight. The decisions were INDIVIDUALS MAKING INDIVIDUAL DECISIONS ON THEIR OWN! The club is always neutral in a primary! Let me state why I am publically backing Gibbons...Simply stated, he wants it more. Here is a guy who travels from Memphis to Knoxville to meet YR's in Haslam's backyard. In all the time I have been a Republican in the YR's...in the West End Club...in the Farragut Club... I have personally never seen Haslam. This is the second time in like a month the Gibbons campaign has come to meet with us. IF he is willing to work this hard as a candidate...imagine how much harder he will work as Governor!!!

With more and more papers closing shop all together or folding into an online only deal...one has to wonder if Scripps can ride the storm out when their stock costs 43 cents more then their daily paper! Is Brinks Security System trying to exploit missing child?

As I have blogged I have been studying the Haleigh Cummings case. This is the child abduction case of a missing child that dissappeared in the middle of the night.

Brinks has been taking out ads that run before online news clips.

I think it is interesting.I just don't know if it crosses the line between strong capitalism vs. child exploitation.

Why Political Leverage hasn't posted this week!

Sorry this has been a slow week. I am working online at http://www.bodylanguageuniversity.com involving the Haleigh Cummins case down in Florida. The University is analyzing every piece of video and I am a part of that proccess. Here is one of my field reports.

Knox YR meeting great success for Gibbons.

Adam Nickas, state field director, of Bill Gibbons for Governor spoke at the meeting tonight.
If the goal was 'don't rush to back anyone, hear us out...' well in the mind of this blogger it was a great success.

Originally, I was leaning personally in my vote Wamp vs Haslam. 50%-50%. Tonight after hearing out Mr. Nickas, I totally put Mr. Gibbons in play and am leaning 50-30-20. Gibbons, Haslam, Wamp.

Is my mind made up? No, not at all and that was not it appears Gibbons intent. They realize the election is a long way. However, it appears they realize that 'out of sight, out of mind.'

Gibbons intent it appears was to simply allow young republicans to take note and keep an open mind. Give the basics of belief and answer questions.

Immediately after the Knox YR meeting, Gibbons rep headed over to Knox College Republican Club.

Breaking down Alex Rodriguez body language

I want to use this video to show you how to break down a political opponent.

10 seconds into the video he does the nose touch. This is a sign that blood is rushing through the body fast and engorging capillaries the result is often referred to 'pinnochio nose syndrome.'

15 seconds the studdering
36 seconds the tongue sticks out and his head goes DOWN
head goes down when he says 'does he not yet.'

now baseline him on eye blink cause they are talking about bonds...normal blink then

57 second mark the blink ratio is classic when asked if he did steriods...
we are talking Clinton memorial here. When clinton was asked in the MTV debates if he ever did marijuana his blink ratio increased 5 times his normal debate ratio.

Next, and this is awesome at the 58 second mark he nods his head YES then says no!
At one minute he gives what appears to be a microexpression of disgust.
At the 1:03 mark note what we call a microexpression. He flashes what appears to be a quick smirk.

So where have we seen this action in Knoxville...
Politcal Leverage is currently working on a database of Knox county officials.

The project is called 'The Aura Project.'

One declassified example is Bill Lockett.

Lockett brings in Law body language to the political spectrum. Noted in the last meeting is how when he goes to make a technical position he often points with his finger.

In law this is popular towards highlighting a case at the END of a trial.

"That is why jurors, this man is the murderer." Then we see the evil pointing at the defendent!

In politics always avoid pointing. Instead extend your hand in the palms up open position. Or the sorta loking aok gesture with your three fingers being at a 45 degree angle.

Remember, how many times you were told 'it's not polite to point.' When the public see's an official pointing they look negatively at that person.

News Sentinal Stock crashes to 52 week low!

The stock hit a 52 week low at the closing bell today. This stock has hit recent 52 week lows during intraday trading. However, today at the 4pm close the stock had slid 5% and has been gradually declining in recent weeks. Personally, I am thinking of taking the day off to hear the conference call coming up later this month.

Didn't Jack write an editorial recently about not going anywhere?


However, Jack won't report that instead he will have his paper write about BB&T and their low

My only concern is that the loss of retail teen revenue is not being factored. Teens work in retail. Retail is cutting back. Teens get hit the hardest and are the first to get laid off and hours cut.
